NCTM tweeted that 98% of the people got it wrong!  What do you think?  Do the math, explain your thinking and then check your answer!

48 : 2 (9+3) = 48 : 2(12) = 48 : 24 = 2

48 / 2(9+3) = 48 / 2(12) = 48 / 24 = 2
