Hi Dr.Nicki,

So many great fall math activities. The math journal prompts are just right for teachers now. When the students respond to the journal prompt, can they draw a pictorial representation of their solution?? Some students like both writing and drawing – I would think both ways are fine.
Also, do you have any engaging ways to introduce number bonds to the 1st graders?? I really would like to help the teachers with this model for putting together and taking apart numbers.

Very busy school year so far – lots of K-2 changes in our math curriculum.
