Modeling and explaining your thinking is a big part of being a proficient mathematician!  We have to get our students to be able to talk and write about what they know to be true.  We want them to be comfortable with the words “Prove It.”  We want them to be confident writing detailed explanations that provide evidence of their understanding.  Here is a great example of that in geometry!  Here is another example! Check it out and let me know what you are doing to build your students’ mathematical proficiencies!

Happy Mathing,

Dr. Nicki
