# Skip Counting Center Ideas

Skip Counting by 10’s is a kindergarten activity. In the CCSS Skip counting becomes an official unit of study in 2^{nd} grade. Here are 10 ideas to teach and practice skip counting in different ways. Remember that you want to make sure that students understand the quantity that is associated with the count, so that your students are not just “skip chanting” with no conceptual understanding of what they are actually doing!
