5 Ways to Help Parents Learn About the CCSSM: Part 5 (Family Math School Days)

Posted on April 22, 2013. Filed under: Common Core | Tags: |

Parents and Guardians have to be in the loop!  So, one way to do this is to have Parent Math School Days at least once a month.  During a Parent Math School Day, parents get to come to the classroom and play the games with the students during math time. This allows for an authentic experience whereby parents get to see and participate in their students learning!

One way to set it up is that every classroom is doing math at the same time on Open Math Days.  Parents have to sign-up and sign in and then it is planned and various activities can be organized.

Happy Mathing,

Dr. Nicki
