Teaching and Learning

The great Marie Clay said that “If the child is a struggling reader or writer the conclusion must be that we have not yet discovered the way to help him learn.”

This also applies to math!  If the child is struggling in math, the conclusion must be that we have not yet discovered the way to help him learn.

How would our pedagogy change if we really believed this?  What would we say different, how would we talk different and what types of learning plans would we make?
