Word Problems – Finding and Fixing Student Errors
Here is another great article about Anna Newman’s Word Problem Running Record. It just works. I have used it several times. It helps to identify where students are making mistakes with word problems so that you can provide intentional interventions. The article is only 5 pages and it could change your teaching life! Read it. Read it as a school because the literacy people and the math folks need to understand the connectedness of math problem errors.
